Take Care.

Rebecka Bebben Andersson

How are you doing? Feeling the pressure of the holidays trying to sneak in yet? I’ve been feeling a little bummed since daylight savings last weekend, there has been a definite change in the seasons here. Work has been a little a whole lot of crazy and my general anxiety just feels pretty high. One of those weeks.

I wanted to share this quote because it’s one of my favourites. I love how it’s so simple and true. “You can’t dance and stay uptight, it’s a supernatural delight.” -King Harvest.

I’ve taken a couple days away from the blog and I think I’m going to take the rest of the week. Hope you’re all doing well and taking good care of yourselves as we head into Winter. I’ll be back on Monday. Have a lovely weekend and do something kind for yourself.

Do you have any favourite motivational quotes?

  • When I read the title “take care”, for a moment, I thought you were leaving us!
I haven’t been feeling too great either with the rainy days upon us + work/school stress. I feel ya! Don’t feel guilty when you just need to take a break from everything -its something that I tend to feel sometimes and its not a good feeling -because you absolutely deserve and need to spend time taking care of yourself and focusing on your own needs! <3
    Hugs :)

    • Aww haha I’m not going anywhere. Thanks for the encouragement Naomi, it’s really nice to hear that. It’s hard not to feel guilty when we set expectations for ourselves, but you’re right, we all need breaks. Sending you a big internet hug back :) xo

  • This week was also quite tense and anxious in my department. It’s so annoying how the disappearing of the sun and the everyday presence of white and grey light can make you feel so down. I have to take vitamin D additionally, else I would slip into a Winter depression right away :/
My motivational quote of all time would be from Samuel Beckett: “Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.” :)

    Have a nice weekend Lauren!
(P.S.: If you might have some time, maybe you could do the 1989 meme. I tagged you, but only do it if you have time and would like to!)

    • Hey Isa! I agree with taking vitamin D, it definitely helps in times like this. I love the quote, really beautiful. Heheh I had a fun time reading through your 1989 meme, thanks for the tag. I’ll try and put one together :) Sending big smiles across the sea to you!!

  • OOOOh take care Lauren, i suffer from lake of light.. I take complex B, spirulina, basilic sacré (tulsi dyeing) and sleeping monk well being for stress. Tulsi is the best herb for stress.. Mix with a bit liquorice & melisse and lavande.. Warning : Tulsi lowers the pressure … you can mix with liquorice (increases the pressure) to balance :) Xx

    • Aww Julie thank you so much for the recommendations! So sweet of you. I will definitely give the tulsi + liquorice mix a try. Lots of love!
