Just a quick post today to tell you about my latest yam obsession. These are a staple for me all year round but especially so at this time of year. One of my favourite ways to eat them is by blending them into a smooth superfood mousse. This can be enjoyed as dessert, on top of oatmeal, for dipping your apple slices, and even topically as a homemade face mask!
Boil yam(s) in water.
Strain and let cool.
Blend with fresh pressed apple juice or your favourite nut milk.
Add in spices and super-foods. Blend until smooth.
My favourite combo right now is fresh apple juice, maca powder, cinnamon, and bee pollen. It makes the most high vibe’n, skin glow’n mousse you’ll ever taste! Get creative and add your favourite flavours. Yams are great at creating glowing skin. They are packed with Vitamin A, they help support the female endocrine system, and they even stimulate collagen production. Top this festive delight with fresh nutmeg and goji berries. Enjoy!
