Summer Reads.

summer

I picked up a few new books for my summer reading this year. I don’t go through books very fast, but I love to have a couple around for days at the beach.

Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding. An English comedy classic. This is an old one but I haven’t read it yet and I hear it’s an easy uplifting read which is just what I’m looking for.

The Vacationers by Emma Straub. This looks like a good beach read. A story that winds through the life of a family during their two week stay in Mallorca. Filled with secrets, jealousies, and joys.

#GIRLBOSS by Sophia Amoruso. Need some motivation? This book has you covered. Warning: do not take this book as your summer vacation reading material. It will make you want to come home, reorganize your desk, and make a to-do list long enough to cover your plans for the next 6 months. Sophia Amoruso is Founder and CEO of Nasty Gal (one of the fastest growing retailers in the US) and she shares her inspiring Cinderella story to success in her new book.

Fifty Shades of Grey by E. L. James. What can I say, the movie is coming out soon and I haven’t read this one yet.

Recommendations from past summers:
The Goldfinch
Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls
Eat, Pray, Love
Where’d You go Bernadette?
The Paris Wife
