Weekend Reading.

It has been a week of gorgeous fall weather here on Vancouver Island. I haven’t been thrown into the harsh season changes yet that I’ve been living without for nearly 3 years on Kauai. Dusted off some boxes in the storage locker and rescued my long forgotten winter coats and dated sweaters. Fall is such a refreshing season but it waits for no one. Whether I like it or not, I know I have to keep up because the creative spontaneity in the crisp air right now only comes around once a year!

What have you been up to lately? How are you spending your time? What are you enjoying chasing the most right now? Where are the rabbit holes leading you? Tell me everything.

It’s been a year since I’ve put together a Weekend Reading post. These are some of my favourite posts to write. I love that I can always go back to a random week in history (the history of my life…lol?) and see what was inspiring me at that time, what I was eager to learn more about, and what I was cooking/reading/listening to. This is my 71st Weekend Reading round-up post! Have a lovely weekend everyone, I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve typed this sentence:

Here are a few links from around the web to enjoy with your morning coffee…

A warm breakfast bowl | Quick blistered cherry tomato spaghetti | Purple cauliflower bone broth miso soup (!!) | Smoky maple roasted acorn squash | Golden milk cake (need this asap).

This video of Emma Watson interviewing Rupi Kaur is magic.

Free & Native’s new podcast: Expanded. | Estee Lalonde’s new podcast: On The Line.

Design: 5 interior design hacks to reduce anxiety | Jonathan Adler just launched a collection with Amazon | Beautiful basket roundup | Idea to steal: half-painted walls.

Weed is legal across Canada now: What’s so cool about the CBD oil trend? | Beginner’s guide to cannabis.

I’m settling into a new city (again), and I want to really set myself up with an awesome circle of friends. New friends, old friends, foodie friends, astrology friends, intellectual discussion friends, all of the friends. I love this easy way to make new friends | The process of maturing your friendships can be challenging. I would like to dive deeper into this topic and share over the next few months.

Sandra Oh is killing it on TV.

Sharing my shape – An important article, sometimes saying “you’re so brave” really isn’t necessary or appropriate.

Luca Guadagnino has been my biggest expander lately. I love his work, the way he speaks about life, his relationships with his peers and friends, his knowledge, basically everything. He recently designed a house in Lake Como. His latest film is coming out in November: Suspiria! The wait is killing me.

Have a lovely weekend!
