I participated in a Green-Beauty-Swap this Christmas put on by Ria of NatuRia Beauty. She organizes this international event twice a year. It’s such a nice way to connect with other bloggers and discover new brands. I was beyond excited to find out I was paired up with Annabel from Fragmented Splendour (!!!!). I love her blog (check it out if you aren’t already following her) and all the articles she writes for Nouvelle Daily. She has a great talent for finding natural beauty brands and such a fun and honest online personality. I don’t have a lot of in-person friends who share my obsession for green beauty products so it made shopping for her even more fun (you can see what I sent Annabel here). It was so nice to read the little notes that Annabel wrote me. She sent me an amazing collection of British beauty and skincare items. I was totally spoiled! Here are a few highlights from my British beauty box:
Skin & Tonic London Steam Clean Cleansing Balm. Annabel tells me this is becoming really popular among the British bloggers and I’m really looking forward to trying it! It’s made with some lovely organic ingredients like thistle, aromatic eucalyptus, beeswax, and refreshing Spearmint oils to lift dirt and rejuvenate dull, tired skin. It comes with a cotton face cloth that you soak in hot water and use to steam your face. Ahh, this is going to be good.
Hairy Jayne Treatment Conditioner. Oh I was so happy when I opened this. Annabel is so sweet and noticed I commented on one of her posts a few months ago saying that I really wanted to try this brand. The packaging is gorgeous and all of the items from this line are handmade in small batches. This hydrating treatment can be used as either a regular conditioner or as a more intensive mask if applied to dry hair for a few hours. It’s enriched with silk amino acids, wheat proteins and olive oils! Mmm.
Bodhi & Birch Relaxing Body Moisturizer. Another brand that seems to be taking the British blogging world by storm. “Cocoon your skin in our luxuriously creamy body moisturiser with extracts of jasmine, honeysuckle, and lavender. An exquisite blend of organic butters and oils to intensely hydrate skin. Rich yet quickly absorbed to leave your skin deeply nourished, silky soft and radiant.” Enough said.
Herbfarmacy Nail & Cuticle Oil. The simple and honest approach taken by this brand has impressed Annabel and after reading about their company I’m so happy she’s introduced me to these products. They actually grow a lot of their own ingredients and I love how nourishing each product is! Annabel also included a limited edition tea and a face cream sample for me to try. Take a look through the website, they have some really nice looking skincare items.
Aromatherapy Associates Inner Strength Bath Oil. Ahhh this one is so cute, comes in a star box that can be used as a Christmas tree decoration. I’ve listened to Lisa Eldridge talk about Aromatherapy Associates for so many years and it’s always been on my wish-list. Finally I have my own! I love the story behind this scent and I think it’s a perfect way to start the new year. Designed to give strength, courage, and a positive frame of mind. Thank you Annabel!
Nailberry 5-Free Nail Lacquers. So fancy! I love the cheerful colour and the chic packaging of this polish. Annabel says it’s one of her favourite polish brands and I can see it quickly becoming one of mine as well. They have such a lovely shade range! Sadly they don’t ship to Canada, so I’ll have to rely on my overseas connections ;)
All of these brands are new to me! Annabel did such an amazing job curating this British beauty box. Thank you, thank you, thank you lovely!
