Essie Nail Basics.

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

Since I decided to make the switch from gel-polish back to regular lacquer (I know, sounds crazy!) I had to invest in some essentials. To lengthen the life of any nail polish a good base coat and top coat are necessary. I also think taking care of the health and strength of your nails will increase the life of your manicure. Essie makes good quality nail products and they are sold at most drug stores. Here are my top three nail basics all by Essie:

First Base:Using a base coat will smooth out the nail and create an even application for the polish.

Good To Go: This top coats also combines a rapid-dry and ultra shine layer to your polish.

Apricot Cuticle Oil: This smells really good. Which is nice because it makes me want to use it more. I keep it on my bedside table and put it on before I go to sleep and whenever else I can remember. The natural oils nourish and smooth your cuticles and help to make your hands look healthy. I’ve never seen a cuticle oil come in a nail polish bottle before, it’s really easy to use and good for on the go.

$9.00 per bottle.
Happy Tuesday!
