DIY Gift: Luxury Bath Soak.

Luxury Rose Bath Soak.

I’m not that savvy when it comes to DIY projects, but it’s usually this time of year that I attempt to make something and pass it off as a Christmas gift for friends and family. I found a recipe for an all-nautral luxury bath soak by Annabel on Nouvelle Daily earlier this month. I picked up some of my favourite products to make it for the holidays and it was surprisingly simple! I think it would be such a lovely gift to receive and anybody can whip this together in under 15 minutes. The combination of salts, clay, oats, and oils will relax your muscles, detoxify your skin, and soothe your mind. Just what we all need during the holidays!

Luxury Pink Bath Soak
(makes 8-10 baths)

2 cups Nezza Naturals pure himalayan pink salt
2 tbsp Herbivore Botanicals pink clay exfoliating mask
1/2 cup organic rolled oats
essential oil of choice (rose, lavender, etc.)

Grind up the rolled oats in a food processor or blender and mix until you have a fine powder.

Add the ingredients in layers for an even distribution and add 3-4 drops of your essential oils after each layer. Continue adding layers of ingredients and essential oils until they’re all used up, then pop the lid on and give the jar a really good shake to blend everything together. The pink clay will turn the mix a lovely colour but feel free to use any clay you like; French green clay is great for detoxification. If you’re feeling fancy you could also add rose petals, lavender buds, coconut milk powder, or anything else your hearts desires.

Leave your mixture in the jar with the lid on for a few days to let the essential oils infuse into the salts and clay, then you can transfer the mixture to smaller jars to give away, or test a little out in the bath for yourself!

I just found out on the weekend that Annabel (who wrote the original article on Nouvelle Daily) and I were paired together for a Green Beauty Swap this Christmas. What a small world!!
I am beyond excited, she is so talented and such an inspiration. Check out her blog, it’s amazing.

What do you think? Would you give this to a friend? Let me know your favourite DIY Christmas gifts!
