Product Collection: Spring Cleaning.

Hello! I spent the majority of my weekend cleaning out my bathroom and reorganizing all my makeup and skincare products. I’ve been enhancing my collection since the start of the year and it finally came time to sort through this stuff so my drawers and counters weren’t over flowing! I got rid of some stuff, found a few things I had forgotten about, and brought in a few new things to spruce up the space.

I started out by washing my drawers and lining them with recycled brown paper. This made such a huge difference and it was really cheap. A full wrapping paper roll of this paper was only a couple of dollars and I can change it whenever it gets old and dirty. It would be really cute to use a patterned wallpaper or something for this. I wanted to organize all the smaller things in my drawers so I decided to use some of my china collection, this way I get to see it everyday which makes me happy. I’ve got all my teeth and eye care in one drawer and all my hair care in the other.

Next thing was the counter top. I decided to go with the china collection again here and I’m so happy with how it turned out. I used a serving platter for my morning and evening skincare products, a creamer for my makeup brushes, and a dessert plate for a few of my compacts. The rest of my everyday makeup is held in one of my favourite cosmetic bags by Tory Burch. Even though this is a lot to keep on the counters, it’s all neatly put together and doesn’t look too cluttered or messy. It also allows me to grab it and put it away quickly, which helps save precious time in the morning.

I wanted to do a little more in the way of makeup organizing, but the bathroom was my main focus today so I’ll have to share my non-everyday makeup collection in another post. I did pick up a new lip gloss organizer though so I thought I would share that with you. It’s a clear plastic four tiered organizer from Home Sense and it’s great for a lipgloss hoarder like myself. It was about $8.00 and totally worth it!
