Travel Essentials | The Fig's Heart.

Today I’m sharing my favourite beauty products to bring on vacation. The ones that make me feel super fancy but are quick and easy to use so I can spend my days relaxed and not thinking about makeup. In less than a week (!!) I’m going on vacation to Hawaii. These multitasking super-products are already packed in my suitcase and ready to go. If you’re like me and enjoy spending as little time as possible applying makeup but still want to look your best when on vacation, you’ll love these…

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil. This is the ultimate beachy-vacation product for me. You can use it on your skin, in your hair, even on your face. It’s silky texture is not greasy at all and so nice to put on your arms and legs after a long day in the sun. I think my favourite use for this oil is adding it to the ends of my hair. It has a really faint scent that makes my hair smell good all day and keeps it shiny and hydrated.

Clarins Oil-free SPF 40 UV Plus Day Screen. Sunscreen is a must for travelling somewhere as hot as Hawaii. I love the Clarins facial SPF because it has a very thin watery formula that I don’t even notice on my face. It blends in with foundation easily and protects the skin without feeling like a sunscreen.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Foundation? Nah. Unless I’m going out for a nice dinner, I don’t plan on wearing any foundation. After applying my moisturizer and sunscreen I’ll be dabbing a little of this concealer under my eyes and over any blemishes. This stuff blends wonderfully and looks so natural on the skin. Quick and easy but really makes a difference.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil. Since I won’t be wearing any mascara or eyeliner for my trip (I’m giving eyelash extensions a try) I’m relying on this brow pencil to give me nice bold brows. If I decide to wear a bright lipstick I’ll need a little something to keep the balance on my face. This pencil has a build in brow brush, it’s easy to use and perfect for travelling. An obvious pick!

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick. My secret little trick to looking glamorous all day. Apply this lipgloss in the morning (no lip liner needed) and it will last all day long. The formula is incredible, it doesn’t budge at all and it’s hydrating enough to wear on it’s own (but I usually put a little balm underneath). This shade, Pink Pong, is so much fun! It brightens my whole face and looks great in photos, summer vacation staple.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Have you tried this top coat? It’s magic. Apply this over any nail polish and people will think you just got a gel manicure. It’s thick consistency looks like a gel polish when it dries and it protects your nail polish from chips or cracks for much longer than any other top coat I’ve tried. I can go a full week without chips in my nail polish when I wear this. It’s a great alternative for those of us who don’t wear gel polish but need our manicures to last.

AVEDA Foot Relief. This peppermint foot cream is the best! After a long day of walking around town this is so nice to cover your feet in before bed. The formula is really hydrating and it will keep your pedicure in good condition. It also soothes sore feet and smells amazing. I will be using this every day.

Now here’s the part where I need your help. What else am I missing in my suitcase? What’s your never-leave-without-it favourite travel essential? The ultimate luxury and effortless beauty product? What does someone who has never been to Hawaii need to pack? I’ve got my pen and paper ready to add your suggestions to my shopping list, go!
