For the Guys: Ursa Major!

Ursa Major Skincare | The Fig's Heart.

Ursa Major is an all-natural skincare line made in Vermont. This brand started out as a mens skincare line. You can tell from the packaging that it’s geared towards an outdoorsy individual and very gender neutral. Green beauty and all-natural skincare has gained so much momentum in the past few years. Most of the brands have been marketed towards women but Ursa Major has been there for the guys! More recently, females have discovered that these products are awesome and they want in on the good stuff too. When Ursa Major asked if I would try a few of their products I was really excited. I haven’t tried many products that cater to men just as much as they do to women so I thought this would be a great opportunity. I think it’s important to have natural skincare options for men. The fact that Ursa Major products are great for both genders makes it even easier to get the guys in your life to switch over to natural skincare.

Ursa Major is ideal for the traveller, the hiker, the camper, and all those in between. If you’ve thought about introducing your spouse/brother/father/etc to a natural skincare line, I would definitely recommend Ursa Major. It’s great for both the skincare newbie or the pampered prince. The packaging is more masculine looking than most skincare brands out there so guys will feel confident using it. The ingredients are pure, simple, and effective. No gimmicks or cutesy quotes, just healthy and quality ingredients that protect and nourish the skin. These are great for all skin types including sensitive skin and the smell is oh-so-manly! Gluten-free, cruelty-free, vegan, non-toxic, all-natural, and organic. Can’t go wrong people.

The Essential Face Wipes are durable and gentle. They’re made with bamboo and act as a cleanser, toner, exfoliator, and hydrator all in one. I don’t remove my makeup or wash my face with face wipes (ever), but I love having them around to clean my hands or freshen up on the go. I think guys would like these a lot if they were somewhere without running water (camping) or sweating a lot (hiking) and felt like cleaning up.

Fantastic Face Wash. This gentle foaming gel cleanser is made with white tea, sugar cane, and lemon to thoroughly remove dirt and brighten the skin. It’s also made with a high % of aloe vera to soothe and hydrate. It’s a very light gel that smooths onto the skin easily. The smell is refreshing and very outdoorsy. It will awaken the senses and get you moving! Essential oils of cedar, spearmint, lime, rosemary, black spruce, and vetiver make up this blend. It’s definitely a masculine smell but I’m really drawn to it, so clean and fresh. Makes me feel like I’m in the middle of the woods. I’ve been using this as my morning cleanser and it’s almost used up! I was surprised at how much I like this product, I might even repurchase another (which is saying a lot).

The Fortifying Face Balm is a light weight moisturizer (almost serum like) that absorbs quickly and leaves a matte finish on the skin. It’s made with aloe vera, kendi seed, carrot, and willow bark extract to soothe and hydrate the skin while strong anti-aging properties keep the skin looking fresh and firm. Males tend to have oilier skin so this would be a great moisturizer for them. It has the same smell as the face wash from essential oils of lavender, lime, spearmint, and rosemary. Very fresh and outdoorsy! They also make a Stellar Shave Cream that would complete your mans daily routine.

I’m excited for this brand, I think they have a great outlook and I love how they promote an active lifestyle with a close connection to the environment. I know I will be introducing some males in my life to these products and I can’t wait to see what they think. It’s great to have some natural product recommendations in my back pocket for the males, I never know who’s going to email me with questions about what moisturizer to pick up next. Thanks Ursa Major!
