I’m so excited to introduce you to one of my closest friends. Christine of Baci & Baci is sharing all the goodies that she’ll be taking on Valentine’s Day this year. She’s recently launched a fashion and lifestyle blog and she’s someone I always turn to when I need advice on what to wear. She has a chic and effortless style that always looks polished and classy. This lucky girl was recently engaged and will be celebrating her wedding this summer! I’m beyond excited for her and couldn’t think of a better person to share some Valentine’s Day date-night essentials with us…
Christine: Valentine’s Day is my favourite holiday. Although there is debate about whether or not this is a real holiday, it’s real to me. Love is something that should be celebrated and it’s easy to forget when life gets busy. This year I’ll be going straight from the office to dinner with my fiancé so I went with pieces that transition easily.
The Bag – J.Crew Sophie Small Cross Body in Blush Pink. This was an impulse buy. You’ll notice I’m not bringing a wallet with me, this bag is actually too small for my wallet. Although this wasn’t the most practical purchase I’m still in love with the bag! The blush pink makes it an obvious choice for Valentine’s Day.
Gloves – Club Monaco Cashmere fingerless gloves. It’s been really cold in the city lately and it’s hard to find parking so we will probably be trekking a few blocks to the restaurant. Also, we like to eat really late so it will probably be 9:00 pm and freezing.
Keychain – This keychain from Anthropologie is a million years old. When I got my first apartment my Mom gave it to me as a gift and I’ve used it ever since. It’s really jangle-y and makes a ton of noise but I’ll always love it.
Perfume – Miss Dior. This scent is really fresh and feminine, perfect for a date night. Also, how cute is the mini bottle!?
Blush – Le Blush Crème De Chanel in Intonation. It looks really bright in the package but it blends out very naturally. A classic Valentine pink and an everyday favourite.
Necklace – Tiffany & Co. Key. This was a Christmas gift from my fiancé a few years ago. He managed to surprise me with this one even though I’m notorious for ruining surprises.
Lipsticks – MAC Glaze in Hue. This is such a pretty nude and one that can transition from office to evening by adding a gloss. I’ll be wearing it with the Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossimer in Zephyr. This was a gift from Lauren and a favourite of both of ours!
Whether you’re single or in a relationship, I think it’s important to take the time to show the people you love how much you care about them. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
What will you be wearing this Valentine’s Day? Do you have a favourite pink lipstick?
